GameZone rides the waves at Love Boracay 2026 with fun, prizes, and community spirit

GameZone brought energy and excitement to Love Boracay 2026, transforming the island celebration into a vibrant mix of entertainment, community engagement, and responsible fun at one of the Philippines’ most iconic beach festivals.

Against the backdrop of Boracay’s world-famous shores and lively festival atmosphere, GameZone attracted crowds with immersive activities and interactive experiences designed to bring people together while promoting positive and responsible entertainment.

Blending gameplay with advocacy, the brand created a lively beachfront hub where visitors could enjoy games, prizes, and activities while supporting eco-conscious tourism initiatives on the island.

Interactive games and exciting rewards

One of the biggest attractions throughout the event was the GameZone Team-Up Booth, where festivalgoers embraced teamwork and friendly competition in line with the platform’s “Player vs. Player” identity.

Participants teamed up for a mini rock-climbing challenge, racing against time for the chance to unlock mystery prizes. Each successful climb was met with loud cheers, upbeat music, and an electrifying crowd atmosphere that turned every win into a beachside celebration.

Adding even more excitement to the weekend was GameZone’s lineup of premium giveaways. Festival attendees had the chance to win 600 GameZone Camera Lenses and 120 GameZone Carafes with Iced Tea.

Bringing a uniquely Filipino flavor to the celebration, GameZone also gave away 60 Lechon Manok and 3 Lechon Baboy, creating lively moments that quickly became crowd favorites.

Meanwhile, limited 15-minute Jetski vouchers emerged as one of the most sought-after prizes during the activation, drawing long queues and nonstop excitement from beachgoers eager to experience Boracay’s waters in style.

Promoting sustainability and local partnerships

Beyond entertainment, GameZone also took part in efforts to help preserve the island’s natural beauty through a beach cleanup drive that encouraged both tourists and locals to participate.

The initiative highlighted the brand’s message that celebration and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand.

GameZone also extended its support to the local community by partnering with the Boracay local government unit and providing banners and tents for the International Dragon Boat Festival held from April 24 to 26, 2026.

The partnership contributed to Boracay’s growing lineup of sports and cultural events during the island-wide festivities.

“Alas” makes debut appearance

Adding another layer of excitement to the weekend was the first public reveal of “Alas,” the newest addition to the GameZone family.

Introduced through eye-catching LED displays along the beachfront, the teaser immediately sparked curiosity and conversation among attendees, hinting at an exciting new direction for the brand.

One of the weekend’s standout moments came during sunset, when the GameZone Paraw sailed across Boracay’s crystal waters — a picturesque scene that perfectly captured the vibrant and celebratory spirit of Love Boracay 2026.

Together with DigiPlus Interactive Corp., GameZone became one of the event’s most visible and energetic participants, attracting both local and international visitors with its engaging activities and strong beachfront presence.

Through its participation in Love Boracay 2026, GameZone once again reinforced its commitment to creating experience-driven events that go beyond entertainment by bringing together fun, community, culture, and meaningful engagement.

ArenaPlus-backed ‘Dink-dependence Day’ expects huge pickleball field

Preparations are underway for the 1st ArenaPlus-KaTribu Pickleball Tournament as organizers expect a strong turnout for the “Dink-dependence Day Showdown” happening on June 12 at The Dink Lab Elite inside All Home, Kawit, Cavite.

Technical partner and pickleball coach Keny Octavo expressed excitement ahead of the event, saying the tournament is expected to attract nearly 300 participants as the sport continues gaining popularity among Filipinos from different age groups and backgrounds.

Speaking during his guest appearance on Off the Court, the weekly sports program of DAILY TRIBUNE, Octavo highlighted how pickleball’s accessibility and welcoming community have contributed to its rapid growth in the Philippines.

According to Octavo, one of the reasons players continue embracing pickleball is because it is easier to learn compared to many traditional racket sports. He explained that while sports such as tennis and badminton often rely heavily on power and reflexes, pickleball places greater emphasis on patience, positioning, and strategic shot placement.

He also emphasized the strong sense of community surrounding the sport, noting that many players continue returning not only because of the competition, but because of the friendships and positive atmosphere built around local pickleball groups and clubs.

The tournament coincides with the country’s 128th Independence Day celebration, giving the event both a competitive and patriotic atmosphere. Organizers are positioning the event as a full-day gathering that combines sportsmanship, camaraderie, and community celebration.

Champions in the tournament will receive ₱15,000 in cash prizes, while first and second runners-up will take home ₱10,000 and ₱5,000 respectively, in addition to medals, trophies, hotel accommodations, food vouchers, gift certificates, and other premium rewards.

All registered participants will also receive competition shirts, snacks, drinks, and sponsor giveaways from supporting partners, including the Philippine Sports Commission and JC Premiere.

The Villar Foundation serves as the event’s benefactor, while additional support comes from the Department of Finance as well as Senators Bong Go and Mark Villar.

Registration for the tournament remains open until May 31, with interested players encouraged to register through the QR code available on DAILY TRIBUNE’s social media pages.

As pickleball continues expanding across the country, Octavo also shared insights into how beginners are typically introduced to the sport. He explained that basic lessons often focus first on mastering the forehand drive, which helps players better understand serving and receiving techniques before progressing into scoring systems and more advanced gameplay.

For players looking to compete seriously, Octavo said mastering the first four shots of pickleball — the serve, receive, third-shot drive or drop, and defensive return — can significantly improve performance during matches.

With participation numbers expected to rise and interest in the sport continuing to grow nationwide, organizers believe the inaugural “Dink-dependence Day Showdown” could become one of the biggest local pickleball community events tied to the Independence Day celebration.

GPERYA Casino Secures PAGCOR Accreditation, Strengthening Its Position in the Regulated Philippine iGaming Market

GPERYA Casino has officially entered a new phase of development following its inclusion in the latest list of accredited operators released by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR). The updated registry, published on January 2, 2026, reflects the evolving structure of the Philippine online gaming industry and identifies licensed service providers authorized to offer a wide range of gaming products under regulatory oversight.

The inclusion of GPERYA Casino in PAGCOR’s accredited operators list signals that the platform has met the regulator’s standards in key operational areas, including financial integrity, system security, fair gaming practices, and responsible handling of player data. As regulatory scrutiny intensifies across the Philippines, PAGCOR accreditation has become a defining benchmark for legitimacy, distinguishing compliant operators from unlicensed platforms in an increasingly competitive market.

The PAGCOR directory covers a broad spectrum of gaming categories, ranging from traditional bingo and e-bingo to electronic casino games, sports betting, specialty titles, and online poker. GPERYA Casino’s accreditation positions it within this regulated ecosystem, enabling it to legally provide diversified gaming services while aligning with national compliance frameworks. This development is expected to enhance player confidence and support the platform’s long-term growth strategy in the region.

GPERYA Casino has built its product offering around a localized and multi-vertical entertainment model tailored to Filipino users. The platform integrates culturally familiar card games such as Tongits and Pusoy alongside modern digital casino experiences, including slot games and live dealer tables. This hybrid approach allows GPERYA to capture both mass-market recreational players and higher-value users seeking immersive casino gameplay, while also expanding into sports betting to diversify engagement channels.

The accreditation comes at a time when the Philippine government is reinforcing oversight of online gambling activities, particularly targeting unauthorized operators and illicit promotional networks. In this context, regulatory compliance is no longer optional but foundational to sustainable operation. Platforms recognized by PAGCOR benefit not only from legal protection but also from improved access to payment infrastructure, marketing channels, and strategic partnerships.

Industry observers note that the Philippine iGaming sector is entering what can be described as a “license-driven era,” where credibility, transparency, and regulatory alignment directly influence user acquisition and retention. GPERYA Casino’s successful accreditation reflects its commitment to operating within this framework and adapting to the market’s shift toward accountability and structured growth.

Looking ahead, GPERYA Casino is expected to leverage its newly strengthened regulatory standing to expand its user base, enhance its agent network, and further develop promotional and tournament-based offerings. With compliance now firmly established as part of its operational foundation, the platform is positioned to compete more effectively in one of Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing digital gaming markets.

ArenaPlus brings US-style bracket game to PH for NBA Playoffs

ArenaPlus is introducing a US-style tournament bracket game to the Philippines as part of its latest prediction campaign for the NBA Playoffs.

The initiative is designed to attract new users while increasing engagement among existing players, reinforcing ArenaPlus’ position in the local online sportsbook market. At the core of the campaign is a localized version of the bracket prediction format, widely popular in the United States but still new to Filipino audiences.

ArenaPlus Head Erick Su said the move aims to bring a fresh layer of excitement to basketball fans in the country, where the NBA remains one of the most followed leagues.

He noted that bracket games have long been part of sports culture in the US, and introducing the format locally allows Filipino fans to experience a more interactive way of following the playoffs.

The bracket game is part of ArenaPlus’ ₱1 billion Prediction Giveaway, a free-to-play campaign that allows users to participate without any deposit or wagers. By removing financial barriers, the platform is focusing on entertainment and accessibility while encouraging wider participation.

The format covers the entire playoff journey, from the opening round through the Finals, giving players the chance to predict matchups, winners, and outcomes across each stage. This structure is designed to sustain engagement throughout the tournament, keeping fans involved until a champion is crowned.

ArenaPlus Marketing Head Hannah Bagui emphasized that the campaign reflects the company’s ongoing effort to enhance user experience by making sports more interactive and rewarding for Filipino fans.

With the NBA Playoffs set to begin on April 18, ArenaPlus is positioning the bracket game as a new way for fans to engage with the competition—combining prediction, entertainment, and community participation in a single experience.

PlayTime Entertainment Expands Into Sports With Launch of PT Sports After PT IDOL Debut

PlayTime Entertainment is continuing its push to build a broader entertainment ecosystem with the launch of PT Sports, a new business vertical focused on esports, athlete management, and competitive content. The move comes shortly after the debut of PT IDOL, signaling the company’s shift from a single-category player into a more integrated entertainment platform.

With PT Sports, PlayTime is positioning sport not just as competition, but as a form of entertainment built around performance, storytelling, and audience engagement. The new division is designed to manage athletes, produce premium sports and esports content, and establish partnerships across different venues and platforms, aligning with the company’s wider goal of showcasing Filipino talent on both local and international stages.

According to PR Director Krizia Cortez, the expansion into sports is a natural next step following PT IDOL. She emphasized that modern audiences no longer see entertainment in silos, as performances—whether on stage, on screen, or in competitive arenas—are what truly drive engagement. PT Sports, in this context, becomes a way for PlayTime to deepen that connection through competitive formats.

The division launches with a strong esports focus, starting with an all-Filipino professional team set to compete at a high level across Southeast Asia. Competing under the PT Sports banner, the team is expected to represent the Philippines in regional and international tournaments, reflecting the country’s continued rise in the esports scene.

Looking ahead, PlayTime plans to expand PT Sports beyond esports into traditional sports and emerging competitive formats. More partnerships, athlete programs, and content initiatives are expected as the platform grows, indicating a longer-term strategy rather than a one-off launch.

The introduction of PT Sports also marks another step in PlayTime Entertainment’s broader transformation. From supporting films, concerts, beauty pageants, and major sporting events in the past, the company is now formalizing these efforts into dedicated verticals like PT IDOL and PT Sports. Instead of a sudden pivot, this shift reflects a more structured effort to scale what it has already been building over the years—leveraging existing relationships, brand credibility, and infrastructure to compete more seriously in the evolving entertainment landscape.
