DigiPlus Foundation launches Charity tab on BingoPlus as community projects expand

DigiPlus Foundation continues strengthening its social impact initiatives with the launch of a new Charity tab on the BingoPlus app, giving users a more accessible way to follow and support the foundation’s growing list of community programs across the Philippines.

Over the years, DigiPlus Foundation has implemented a wide range of social development initiatives aimed at improving the lives of millions of Filipinos. As BingoPlus grew into one of the country’s leading digital entertainment platforms, the foundation expanded its efforts in education, healthcare, food security, and community assistance programs as part of its long-term commitment to giving back.

Ahead of BingoPlus Night 2026 and this year’s “Step into the Next PLUS” theme, the foundation introduced the Charity tab as a new feature designed to connect digital users more closely with real-world community impact projects.

Through the new section inside the BingoPlus app, users can now explore ongoing causes and monitor how various projects are helping local communities nationwide. The Charity tab features project cards that highlight initiatives related to classroom construction, healthcare access, food assistance, and other social development efforts supported by the foundation.

The feature also allows users to track project progress in real time, view impact statistics, recognize leading contributors, and learn more about partner organizations involved in each initiative. According to the foundation, the goal is to create a more transparent and interactive platform where community engagement feels visible, measurable, and directly connected to meaningful outcomes on the ground.

Beyond transparency, the Charity tab is also being positioned as a space where stories of everyday Filipinos and local community heroes can be shared, helping users better understand how collective support contributes to long-term social impact.

The foundation is likewise expected to unveil a new wave of major commitments and expanded outreach programs during BingoPlus Night 2026 on May 19, as the company continues linking entertainment, digital innovation, and social responsibility under one broader ecosystem.

With the launch of the Charity tab, DigiPlus Foundation hopes to make charitable participation more accessible for everyday users by bringing donation-driven initiatives, community updates, and social impact programs directly into the digital entertainment platform experience.

AR Foundation and Casino Plus Convene Multi-Sector Jury for “Hero For All” Final Deliberation

The AR Foundation and Casino Plus, a premier entertainment platform duly licensed by PAGCOR, officially convened a distinguished multi-sector jury panel for the final deliberation of the “Hero For All” campaign, a nationwide initiative dedicated to recognizing everyday Filipinos who embody compassion, resilience, sacrifice, and service.

Held on May , 2026, in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Taguig City, the deliberation marked a major milestone for the campaign following a month-long nomination period that gathered hundreds of inspiring stories from across the Philippines. The initiative was created not only to honor acts of kindness and community service, but also to inspire more Filipinos to create meaningful change within their own communities by highlighting stories of ordinary individuals doing extraordinary things without seeking recognition.

Leading the jury panel were respected figures from media, government, academe, and civil society, including Alden Richards, Joy Flavier-Alampay of the Ramon Magsaysay Foundation, Ma. Teresa Habitan of the Philippine Tax Academy, Tina Arceo-Dumlao of the Philippine Daily Inquirer, and Daniel Cecilio of PAGCOR. Joining the broader deliberation process was Ramon P. Tuazon, Secretary General of the Asian Institute of Journalism and Communication, who participated during the initial deliberation rounds.

According to Alden Richards, founder of the AR Foundation and Casino Plus Lead Advocate, initiatives like Hero For All are especially important today because they remind people that heroism is not defined by fame, power, or social status. He emphasized that stories of ordinary Filipinos showing compassion, sacrifice, and service help restore hope and encourage others to act with kindness in their own ways.

Casino Plus likewise underscored the importance of recognizing quiet acts of heroism happening across communities nationwide. The platform shared that many individuals choose compassion and courage despite life’s challenges without expecting anything in return, and that Hero For All was designed to honor these stories while reminding Filipinos that even small acts of kindness can create meaningful impact.

Following its official launch on April 9, 2026, the campaign received nominations from April 10 to May 1 through multiple channels, including social media submissions, the Casino Plus website, and endorsements from non-government organizations and local government units. To qualify, nominees were required to be Filipino residents aged 21 and above who had demonstrated documented acts of heroism or meaningful community contribution within the past five years. Supporting materials such as photos, videos, and published articles also formed part of the validation process.

From hundreds of submissions, shortlisted nominees advanced to the final deliberation stage, where jurors independently evaluated candidates using a clearly defined scoring framework focused on documented impact, geographic representation, story readiness, corporate social responsibility alignment, and “story transferability” — a principle that measures whether a nominee’s actions can inspire similar acts of compassion and civic responsibility in other communities. The organization emphasized that the campaign is firmly anchored on authenticity, integrity, and long-term community impact rather than popularity.

Joy Flavier-Alampay reflected on the experience by sharing that all the nominees demonstrated extraordinary goodness not because they were asked to, but because helping others came naturally to them. She added that being part of the jury inspired everyone involved and left them carrying a piece of every story they encountered. Ma. Teresa Habitan also noted that what stood out most among the nominees was the genuine compassion they showed by going beyond themselves to help others in meaningful ways.

Meanwhile, PAGCOR Senior Vice President for Land-Based Operations Daniel Cecilio shared that a true “Hero For All” is someone who consistently embodies selflessness, courage, inclusivity, and long-lasting impact. Tina Arceo-Dumlao, Business Features Editor of the Philippine Daily Inquirer, also highlighted the campaign’s significance in today’s environment, saying that initiatives like Hero For All remind people that there is still so much goodness worth celebrating despite the negativity often seen in everyday life.

The campaign will culminate in a grand awarding ceremony hosted by award-winning broadcast journalist Pinky Webb on August 31, 2026, in celebration of National Heroes Day, where selected honorees will be formally recognized for their exceptional contributions to society.

In line with PAGCOR’s Responsible Gaming Code of Practice, Casino Plus also reminded players that gaming should be treated strictly as a form of entertainment and never as a source of income or financial relief. The company encouraged players to game responsibly and within their means, while emphasizing that all gaming outcomes are determined by chance and previous results do not influence future outcomes.

Casino Plus remains committed to delivering a secure, fair, and engaging digital entertainment experience guided by responsible gaming principles and player protection standards, while continuing to support meaningful initiatives that create positive impact within Filipino communities.

Beyond the Jackpot: BingoPlus Celebrates Five Real Stories in ‘More Than Win’ Campaign

When luck meets perseverance, the results can go far beyond a simple payout. That’s the message behind BingoPlus’ “More Than Win” campaign, which highlights five Filipino winners whose stories reflect how discipline and purpose can turn a single win into lasting impact.

Coming from different backgrounds and facing their own personal challenges, these individuals are brought together by one shared moment—a significant win on BingoPlus. Rather than focusing purely on the prize, the campaign shines a light on how each winner chose to use that opportunity to improve their lives and support the people around them.

Among them is 40-year-old housewife Melanie Asingua from Quezon City, who continues to live modestly while helping her husband pursue opportunities overseas. Despite her winnings, she remains grounded, showing that financial success doesn’t have to change one’s values or priorities.

A similar sense of responsibility is seen in 23-year-old accountant John Carlo Anguluan from Bulacan. Determined to support his family, he used his winnings to fund his sibling’s arm surgery—demonstrating that age is no barrier when it comes to stepping up for loved ones.

For 41-year-old small business owner Johnwary Miralo from Baras, Rizal, the win became a way to address urgent medical needs within his family, prioritizing the well-being of his wife and daughter. His story reflects the quiet sacrifices many Filipinos make every day.

Meanwhile, security guard Reyducks Maraon, 49, chose to invest in rebuilding his home in Montalban, Rizal. For him, the win represented stability—a chance to provide his family with a safer and more secure place to live.

Perhaps one of the most inspiring stories comes from 63-year-old Gavino Teodisio Jr., a wheelchair user from Quezon City. Through resilience and determination, he used his winnings to improve his living conditions, proving that even small steps can lead to meaningful change.

Together, these stories underline a simple truth: luck may open the door, but it’s discipline and hard work that determine what comes next. Through the “More Than Win” campaign, BingoPlus emphasizes that responsible gaming is not just about playing wisely—it’s about making thoughtful choices after the win.

By showcasing real-life journeys, the platform reinforces its message that gaming, when approached responsibly, can become a stepping stone toward a better and more secure future.

Amid the vibrant colors and festive energy of the Panagbenga Festival, DigiPlus Foundation introduced a ₱2 million community support program aimed at enhancing healthcare, education, and indigenous livelihoods across the city.

The initiative was officially unveiled on March 1 during the BingoPlus Panagbenga Celebration Day at the Melvin Jones Grandstand, bringing together celebration and social impact in a single platform. The program reflects the continued commitment of DigiPlus Interactive Corp. and its flagship brand BingoPlus to support inclusive and sustainable development.

“Panagbenga highlights the strength and beauty of Filipino culture,” said Angela Camins Wieneke, Executive Director of DigiPlus Foundation. “It also presents an opportunity to invest in communities and ensure that development reaches those who need it most.”

A portion of the funding is allocated to healthcare programs, particularly vision care services for senior citizens. This effort is carried out in partnership with the National Commission of Senior Citizens – Cordillera Administrative Region and the Office for Senior Citizens’ Affairs, providing optical assistance through dedicated medical missions.

In the field of education, the foundation is extending financial assistance to selected students in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare and Development, helping ensure continued access to learning opportunities.

The program also supports indigenous communities through a partnership with Advocating Traditions for Onward Resilience. This collaboration focuses on strengthening livelihood initiatives while preserving the cultural heritage of the Cordillera region.

The ceremonial turnover gathered representatives from partner agencies and beneficiary groups, highlighting a collaborative approach to community development. Rhod Jessie Barrera, WishPlus and Special Events Lead of DigiPlus Foundation, emphasized that meaningful progress comes from cooperation between the private sector, government, and local communities.

Festival attendees were also invited to take part in the WishPlus initiative, sharing their aspirations while learning about the foundation’s ongoing programs.

By integrating social investment into one of the country’s most iconic festivals, DigiPlus Foundation showcases how community-focused initiatives can grow alongside business innovation, creating long-term value for Filipino communities.
